Students are provided with opportunities to share their time, talent and resources with marginalized members of the community. Programs and special projects are facilitated by the Veritas Immersion Program (VIP) student members in coordination with faculty and parish and community volunteers. The VIP has successfully managed and participated in feeding programs, literacy programs, and medical missions, and plans are underway for the training of catechists to be deployed to the mission areas of the parish. Its flagship program is Angels Helping Angels (AHA), a feeding program supported by the corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives of leading corporations like Century Pacific. It includes other outreach programs such as I-Recycle , Maboteng Kinabukasan , Project Light and Readucate .
The school’s Catholic lifeblood is sustained by the Campus Ministry. Its student members and faculty volunteers work closely with the Resurrection of Our Lord Parish (ROLP) councils, and together the conduct programs that involve service to the school’s religious education programs, the Church and the community.
The VCS Student Catholic Action (VCSCA) is the mandated religious organization of elementary and high school VCS students. Headed by the CIE Coordinator, the VCSCA is the seedbed for faith formation and religious practice—from Masses to Marian activities, students are provided with opportunities to become humble, proactive servant leaders in school, in the parish church, and in the community.
