VCS @ UNESCO Week of Peace and Sustainable Development

VCS 11th grader Yolicia Reyes represented the Philippines and Asia in the writing of a collaborative white paper on Global Citizenship, which was presented during the UNESCO Week of Peace and Sustainable Development conference in Ottawa, Canada, on March 9. Joining her are high schoolers from Kenya, New Zealand, Canada, Morocco, Sweden, Slovenia, and Brazil. It is the first such forum at the UNESCO where youth below 18 years old were given a chance to speak to education ministers and policy makers. The endeavor was spearheaded by the Center for Global Education based in Alberta, Canada.
